San Diego
Hotel sound baths, free community sessions, and the gong master in La Jolla.
San Diego's sound bath scene splits between two worlds: the hotel-spa circuit and the community-access tier, with not much in between. The Integrated Wellness School of Yoga and Sound Healing in La Jolla/Encinitas is the most serious practitioner presence — an E-RYT500 Gong Master Trainer who has been teaching since 2008. That's the institutional anchor, and it's a real one.
On the community side, YogaSix Point Loma runs a free monthly sound bath called "Listen to Your Heart" that is the only zero-dollar offering in the city. Woven in Time with Lisette runs outdoor sessions at Pioneer Park in Mission Hills — a format that takes advantage of San Diego's year-round outdoor weather in a way that no other city on this list can match as consistently.
The hotel circuit — Estancia La Jolla, Coronado Island Marriott, even Fit Athletic Club — runs floating and aerial sound baths that are polished but priced for tourists. These are fine experiences but they're not building a local practitioner community the way a dedicated studio would.
The gap is the same as Miami: no dedicated sound bath studio. The scene lives in yoga studios, hotel spas, and parks. It works, but it's scattered across a geographically large metro with no single neighborhood where practitioners cluster.

Integrated Wellness School of Yoga and Sound Healing
La Jolla / Encinitas areaStart with the free monthly session at YogaSix Point Loma — it removes every barrier. If you want something more structured, Integrated Wellness in La Jolla has the deepest credentials in the city. Save the hotel floating baths for a second or third visit; they're pleasant but they won't teach you much about what sound healing actually is.
